Apple Cracks Down on Apptrackr

Apple has stepped up its efforts to stop app piracy. The company has reportedly been sending DMCA takedown notices to Apptrackr, a popular service for tracking down cracked apps, in order to stop pirated app downloads at the source. However, Apptrackr is attempting to avoid the crackdown by moving to servers located outside the U.S. and avoiding direct links to content that violates copyrights.

Apptrackr claims that the main purpose of its service is to allow users to get feel of apps before they buy.
Some iOS developers report app piracy rates as high as 80 percent.
